Data Protection Officer
The Controller has not appointed a Data Protection Officer. Appointment is not mandatory under Article 37 GDPR: the firm is not a public authority, does not carry out regular and systematic monitoring of data subjects on a large scale, and the processing of special-category and criminal-offence data inherent in legal practice does not meet the large-scale threshold, in line with Working Party 29 Guidelines WP243, which expressly cite the individual legal professional as an example of processing that is not on a large scale.
Any matter concerning personal data may be raised directly with the Controller at the addresses above.
Data we collect
Browsing data
The computer systems and software procedures underlying the operation of this website acquire, in the course of their normal functioning, certain data whose transmission is inherent in the use of Internet communication protocols. This information is not collected in order to be linked to identified data subjects, but by its very nature could, through processing and association with data held by third parties, allow users to be identified.
This category includes IP addresses, browser and operating system identifiers, the URI notation of requested resources, the time of the request, and parameters relating to the user’s operating system and computing environment. These data are recorded in the server logs of the hosting provider.
Data provided voluntarily
This website contains no contact forms, no sign-up forms, no restricted areas and no registration functionality. Comments on articles are not available. No newsletter is operated.
Sending a message to the email addresses shown in the Contact section entails the acquisition of the sender’s address and of any other personal data contained in the message. Such communications are processed solely in order to respond to the request.

Processing is based on the Controller’s legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in documenting its professional activity, read together with Article 85 GDPR and Article 136 of Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003, which govern the balance between data protection and freedom of expression and information.
The published content concerns court proceedings that have received public coverage through news media, and the audiovisual material largely consists of reproductions of, or references to, news reports already broadcast by television and radio outlets.
Rights of individuals named in the content
Anyone named in content published on this website may at any time request rectification of inaccurate information, updating in light of subsequent developments in proceedings, or the erasure or de-indexing of the content.
Requests should be sent to the addresses given in the Contact section, specifying the URL of the page concerned. The Controller assesses each request by balancing the individual’s rights against the interest in retaining the documentation, and provides a reasoned reply within thirty days.

Transfers outside the EU
The website infrastructure and email services are located entirely within the European Union. No transfer of data to third countries takes place as a result of simply browsing the site.
A transfer to the United States occurs only if the user chooses to activate embedded audio or video content by giving consent. In that case the transfer to Google LLC takes place on the basis of the European Commission adequacy decision of 10 July 2023 concerning the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, to which Google LLC adheres, supplemented by Standard Contractual Clauses.
If consent is refused, or embedded content is simply not activated, no data leaves the European Union.
Your rights
In relation to the data processed, data subjects may exercise the rights set out in Articles 15 to 22 GDPR.
Requests may be sent to the addresses given in the Contact section. A reply is provided without undue delay and in any event within one month of receipt, extendable by two further months where the request is particularly complex.
