Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy describes the cookies and similar technologies used on studiolegalegalasso.it, pursuant to Article 122 of Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 and the Guidelines issued by the Italian Data Protection Authority on 10 June 2021. It forms an integral part of the Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that websites send to the user’s device, where they are stored and sent back to the same site on subsequent visits. They may be set by the site being visited (first-party cookies) or by other domains (third-party cookies).
Alongside cookies there are technologies with a similar function, such as the browser’s local storage and session storage, which store information on the device without automatically transmitting it to the server.
Technical cookies — always active
These are necessary for the website to function and to record the choices you make. They do not require consent under Article 122 of Legislative Decree 196/2003 and are set even where other cookies are refused.
| Name | Source | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
ccwps_consent |
studiolegalegalasso.it | Stores the choices made on the cookie banner, so that it is not shown again on every page | 6 months |
ccwps_version |
studiolegalegalasso.it | Records the version of the notice accepted; if the notice changes, consent is requested again | 6 months |
_icl_current_language |
studiolegalegalasso.it | Stores the selected language (Italian or English) | 1 day |
PHPSESSID |
studiolegalegalasso.it | Technical session identifier generated by the server, required for pages to function correctly | Session |
wordpress_logged_in_*wp-settings-* |
studiolegalegalasso.it | Reserved for authenticated administrators managing the site. Not set for visitors | Session / 1 year |
Embedded external content — subject to consent
Many articles in the archive embed video and audio recordings hosted on external platforms: television reports, interviews, recordings of court hearings and conferences. These platforms set their own cookies when the content is loaded.
Until consent is given, the content is not loaded: a placeholder appears in its place, indicating the source platform and allowing playback to be enabled. No data reaches the external platforms before that point.
YouTube
Video hosting platform provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). When a video is activated, cookies are set which measure views, store player preferences and estimate available bandwidth. Where the user is signed in to a Google account, this information may be linked to that account.
| Name | Source | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE | .youtube.com | Estimates available bandwidth and stores player preferences | 6 months |
YSC | .youtube.com | Session identifier used to count views | Session |
VISITOR_PRIVACY_METADATA | .youtube.com | Stores the privacy choices made by the user on YouTube | 6 months |
PREF | .youtube.com | Stores playback preferences | Up to 2 years |
LOGIN_INFO, SID, HSID and others | .youtube.com .google.com | Set only where the user is signed in to a Google account | Variable |
Radio Radicale
Audio archive of court hearings, conferences and radio broadcasts, operated by Centro di Produzione S.p.A. (Rome, Italy). When the player is activated, statistical measurement cookies are set which are generated by an analytics service provided by Google. One of them also records the website the user came from.
Although these cookies are statistical rather than advertising in nature, they are grouped under embedded external content because they are set solely as a result of activating the audio player.
| Name | Source | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
__utma | .radioradicale.it | Distinguishes users and sessions for statistical purposes | 2 years |
__utmb | .radioradicale.it | Determines the start of a new visit session | 30 minutes |
__utmc | .radioradicale.it | Works with the above to calculate session duration | Session |
__utmz | .radioradicale.it | Records where the visitor came from, including the referring website | 6 months |
Some of the audio recordings on this website are instead hosted directly on our own servers: playing them sets no cookies and involves no communication with third parties.
What we do not use
For transparency, we expressly list the tools that are not present on this website:

- No advertising profiling cookies and no advertising networks.
- No social media buttons that load content from social networking platforms.
- No interactive maps: the office location maps are static images hosted on our own servers.
- No fonts loaded from external servers: all typefaces are served from our own domain.
- No contact, registration or comment forms, and no newsletter.
Managing cookies
From the site banner
On your first visit a banner is displayed allowing you to accept or refuse cookies relating to embedded external content. Your choice can be changed at any time using the consent management icon at the bottom of the page, which reopens the preferences panel.
If consent is withdrawn, third-party cookies already set are removed when the page is next reloaded, so far as technically possible: cookies set by third-party domains can only be deleted in full from your browser settings.
From your browser
All browsers allow you to delete cookies already stored and to set rules for future ones. Up-to-date instructions are available in each browser’s documentation:
Please note that blocking all cookies indiscriminately, including technical ones, may impair the correct operation of this and other websites.
If you refuse
Refusing cookies relating to embedded external content does not restrict access to the website in any way: all text, images and documents remain fully available.
The only effect is that videos and audio recordings hosted on external platforms are not loaded. A placeholder appears in their place, indicating the source platform and allowing you to activate that individual item, giving your consent at that point.
Refusal takes a single click, is as immediate as acceptance, and is not asked again on every page.
